Overview Of Day Trip From Marrakech

Depart in the morning from Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou. Via Kasbah Telouet which is along the former route of the caravans from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. It’s the seat of the El Glaoui family’s power and is sometimes called the Palace of Glaoui. The current Kasbah was built starting in 1860 by Mohammed Ibiyet, the head of the Glaoui clan in the High Atlas. The Kasbah is now abandoned except a small part which can be visited and it’s one of the most extraordinary sights of the High Atlas Mountains.
