This 3 day private tour takes you from Errachidia through the scenic Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani to Merzouga. Enjoy a camel trek and a night in a desert camp, explore the Merzouga region by 4×4 with visits to local villages and nomads, then travel through the Middle Atlas via Midelt, Cedar Forest, and Ifrane to arrive in Fes.
Arrival at Errachidia airport or pick-up from your hotel. Drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views of the oasis and kasbahs. Continue to Erfoud, known for its fossils, then to Rissani, the gateway to the desert. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, where you’ll switch to camels for a trek across the golden dunes to your desert camp. Enjoy sunset over the dunes, dinner, and a night under the stars.
After breakfast at the camp, take a 4×4 tour around the Merzouga area: visit Khamlia village for Gnawa music, explore nomadic families, seasonal lakes, and mineral/black desert landscapes. Return to Merzouga for some rest. Overnight in a comfortable hotel or riad near the dunes.
Early breakfast, then depart towards Fes through the Ziz Gorges, the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, and Midelt. Stop in Azrou to see Barbary apes and in Ifrane (nicknamed “the Switzerland of Morocco”) for photos. Arrive in Fes by late afternoon/evening.
